VaCFix^® Clamp Chains were part of the evaluation of components for the new cryostat module of the S-DALINAC. The test consisted of several cycles of cooling-down and warming-up to the temperature of liquid nitrogen (77 K), as well as cycles below the lambda-point of liquid helium (2.17 K). The QCF connection proved to be absolutely leak-tight. The Forschungszentrum Jülich successfully performed measurements to check shear, bending, torsion and tension of the QCF clamp chains in different stress-tests.
