Electrical feedthroughs are components which enable the transfer of electrical power inside a hermetic closed
chamber. In addition to provide leak-tightness in high and ultra-high vacuum many feedthroughs have to be resistant
to high temperatures, cryogenic engineering, high pressure and aggressive chemicals.
Feedthroughs are basically
defined by the requirements for installation, insulation and the conductor material. The contact options vary depending
on customers' demands. A selection of contacts can be found in the Accessories section of this chapter.
